Development Work
The Finance Commission is a constitutional body formed by the President of India to give suggestions on centre-state financial relations. The 15th Finance Commission (Chair: Mr. N. K. Singh) was required to submit two reports. The first report, consisting of recommendations for the financial year 2020-21, was tabled in Parliament in February 2020.
To reduce poverty and vulnerability of the urban poor households by enabling them to access gainful self employment and skilled wage employment opportunities, resulting in an appreciable improvement in their livelihoods on a sustainable basis, through building strong grassroots level institutions of the poor.

On Going Projects
PMAY-U is a initiative by the Govt of India in which affordable houses are provided to the economically weaker and poorer sections of the society. It is administered by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs. As many poorer sections of the society are unable to build their own pucca house,this scheme from the Government of India will greatly help those people.
Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, or Clean India Mission is a country-wide campaign initiated by the Government of India in 2014 to eliminate open defecation and improve solid waste management.
